THREE brave students from Waddesdon CofE School allowed BHTV to get up close and personal as they opened their GCSE results this morning (Thursday).
Students Samuel Whitbread, Peter Stiefel and Jessica Martin spoke to BHTV moments before and during the opening of their results. We also caught up with Year 10 pupil Stephanie Palmer who sat and excelled in three GCSE subjects...a whole year early before speaking to Waddesdon head Peter Norman about another fantastic set of results.

Mr Norman said he was delighted for his students and teachers after 82 per cent gained five or more A*-C grades, with 72 per cent gaining five or more including English and Mathematics.

He told BHTV: "These results are fantastic, especially when you bear in mind that Waddesdon is a non-selective school in a selective authority.

"I am delighted for our students and their teachers: they worked exceptionally hard over many years to achieve these grades and they have done themselves proud. A phenomenal 71 per cent of students gained five or more A*-C grades including Englsh, Maths and Science, which is a school record - 5 per cent up on our previous best."

Particular congratulations go to the following students:

- Abigail Smith: eight A*s, four As
- James Dunn: five A*s, seven As, one B, one C
- Hannah Clements: six A*s, three As, five Bs
- Jack Wentworth: three A*s, eight As, three Bs
