St Michael and All Angels Church. Please note there will not be a meeting of the Ladies Church Group in August.
However, there will be a trip on Friday August 31 at 10.30am to see some artefacts found near the Crows Nest when the Aston Clinton bypass was being built.

Admission is strictly limited, and the cost is £5 per person. The first meeting after the
summer break will be a talk and demonstration on Reflexology by Mary Armstrong, on Wednesday September 19, at 7.30pm in the Guide Hall.

1st Aston Clinton Guides. The Guides have had a busy end to the term. On the Friday night we joined with the Scouts on a sponsored walk to raise money for the new skate park in Aston Clinton.

On the Saturday night, we held a camp themed sleepover. The five oldest girls slept out in the tent we all pitched and we cooked a two course dinner over a fire using no utensils.

On the following Tuesday we held a barbecue at the park and made mini rafts that we floated down the stream.

Bucks French Meet Up Group. The 'End of Term' barbecue at The Oak, Aston Clinton, on Monday July 30 was just amazing. About 70 people were in attendance including regulars of the group plus family and friends who all enjoyed a barbecue on one of the few lovely summer evenings this year in The Oak garden.

The food was great, the company was great, and it was just one of those evenings that everyone seemed to really enjoy. Chris the landlord provided the barbecue free of charge which meant all money raised goes to charity; our chosen charity is UNICEF which will receive £130 as a result of this great evening. The group restarts on Monday September 3.

Annual Beer Festival. This year's beer festival at The Oak commences on Friday September 7 and concludes on Sunday September 9. The festival opens at noon each day and includes 32 real ales and 10 ciders. There is live music, The Optimist (soul music) on Friday and Mosaic (blues music) on Saturday.

There will be a barbecue and pig roast (subject to weather) and much more. Also, there will be the traditional Whitchuch Morris Men at 12.30pm on Sunday.

THE Mobile Library van will next visit tomorrow (Thursday) at Twitchell Lane from 6.05 pm to 6.25 pm and then at Long Plough from 6.30pm to 7.10pm. The following visit will be on Friday August 24 at the school from 2.50pm to 3.35 pm.
